2016 How to Become a Referee the easy way:

Attend a five hour class and you will earn your Basic Referee Badge and a complete referee uniform. 
You will be trained to confidently referee youth soccer games.
You can choose games that fit YOUR schedule.

The kids need you!  We will help you.  

Beginners welcome, ages 12 and up.

Choose a class from the following dates:
  • Tuesday 8/23/16 and Thursday 8/25/16, a two-part class 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm at the Foster City Recreation Center
  • Or, Monday 8/29/16 and Wednesday 8/31/16, a two-part class from 6 pm to 8:30 pm at the Foster City Community Center in the Port Room
  • Or, Sunday September 11 from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm at the Foster City Recreation Center in the Mallard Room
  • Or, Sunday September 18 from 1 pm to 6 pm at the Foster City Recreation Center in the Crane Room

Required:
  1. You must register as a 2016 Volunteer at www.eayso.org  This must be done annually and it takes one minute.
  2. Complete the Safe Haven online course at www.aysotraining.org using your AYSO ID number from your Volunteer Registration form.  If you have completed Safe Haven since 2012, you do not need to repeat it.
  3. Complete the Basic Referee Online Course at www.aysotraining.org  This online course is NOT a substitute for attending our class, the Basic Referee Online Companion course.  Both are required.
 
Register for the class titled:  "Basic Referee Online Companion Course" using www.eayso.org or by emailing Andrea Maynard at amaynard@aysofc.org

Kids aged 10 and 11 can take the class and get a yellow t-shirt and can help with U8 games.
Many high school students can get Community Service credit for refereeing.

Preseason Referee Social:  Friday September 9,  2016 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Boothbay Park picnic area
We want to recognize the referee class of 2015 and welcome the new class of 2016.
Stop by anytime and pick up a new 2016 coin and learn new information about changes to the Laws of the Game and AYSO's new no-heading rule for ages U12 and younger
We will review how to self assign yourself to games on www.mysoccerleague.com
We want to celebrate all our referees who volunteer their time to allow our kids to play safe, fun and fair soccer!
